Our Eye Doctors
Eye care professionals specialize in understanding how the human eye really works, as well as diseases and conditions that affect your vision—many of which do not always have obvious symptoms. Eye doctors know how age and risk factors affect vision over time for young and old, and they understand the benefits and features of corrective lenses, both as eyeglass lenses and contact lenses.
Our optometrists take the time to explain the results of your eye exam, describe your options and listen to your eye care needs. Because maintaining good eye health is an ongoing partnership, we encourage you to ask questions and share your health information, which could be vital to monitoring, diagnosing and treating potential vision problems.
Meet our doctors:
Thomas R.Truitt O.D.
Dr.Tom Truitt did his undergraduate studies at Miami University and received his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1982 from The Ohio State University. Since establishing the Marysville practice in 1982, he has served as a Clinical Instructor at OSU College of Optometry and given guest lectures to fourth year students. Outside of the office Dr.Tom enjoys playing golf and following the Buckeyes!
Susan M.Truitt O.D.
Dr.Susan did her undergraduate work at John Carroll University and received her Doctor of Optometry degree in 1984 from The Ohio State University. Since entering the Marysville practice in 1984, Dr. Susan has continued her education in the areas of pediatric vision care and vision therapy. She has also served as a Clinical Instructor at the OSU College of Optometry’s Pediatric Clinic. Dr.Susan participates in the Realeyes Program and speaks to elementary school children about taking good care of their eyes.
Shannon C.Davidson O.D.
Dr.Shannon has been great addition to our office since 2007. Dr. Shannon completed her undergraduate studies at The Ohio State University and received her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2007 from The Ohio State University College of Optometry. Dr.Shannon enjoys spending time with her husband, Bryan and their dog, Kahlua. Fitness,reading and cooking are hobbies that she enjoys outside of the office.
Matthew S.Thompson O.D.
Dr.Matthew Thompson joined our practice in 2009 after working for Truitt and Truitt while he was an optometry student. Dr.Matt completed his undergraduate studies at Shawnee State University and received his Doctor of Optometry degree in 2009 from The Ohio State University college of Optometry. Dr.Matt and his wife Jessica have two wonderful little boys. He is of course an avid Buckeye fan and enjoys sports,reading and photography outside of the office.
